DESCRIPTION
The use of hydro-conveyor technology was introduced into the South African wastewater treatment industry in the early 2000s. The hydro conveyor is made up of a U-trough through which recycled wastewater is injected via a high pressure pump supply of approximately 4 bar at 6-8 liters per second. This system has become popular in the modern day wastewater treatment plants head of works to transport screening waste from the screening equipment to the D-screen wedge wire and then into the compactor system.
