TELESCOPIC BELLMOUTH VALVES
Used to draw off fluids in tanks, these devices are fitted with an extended spindle for adjustment of the upper tube.
Sluice gates form an integral part of effluent control in wastewater treatment and other applications.
WEIR GATES
Weir gates can be hinged at the base which allows them to tilt or open downwards thus controlling the flow of fluid by adjusting the height. Weir gates may be 3 or 4 side sealed depending on conditions and requirements.
CHANNEL SLUICE GATES
Channel gates are used for fluid flow control in open channels and therefore do not have a seal along the top edge of the gate. These gates are usually manufactured 100 to 200mm higher than the maximum flow depth of the channel.
Spindle operated with a hand wheel or an actuator mounted on part of the head frame, these units are mounted in slots cast into the sides and floor of the channel. They can be wall mounted if required.
WALL MOUNTED SLUICE GATES (Penstock gates)
Wall mounted sluice gates provide a complete seal around the peripheral contact when closing an aperture in the channel wall. Gates operate on a spindle system. Generally, seals are Neoprene seals which allow water pressure to force the seal against the seating surface of the frame. Where off-seating pressures occur, the seals are reversed. If both seating and off-seating pressure conditions are present, double seals are employed.
