The first operation in wastewater treatment plant is screening, where coarse and fine solids are screened and removed from the effluent. S.A.M.E. WATER manufactures screening equipment to suit different applications and capabilities.
Our design team has collaborated with our international partners, to produce designs for several different types/styles of mechanical screens which we manufacture/supply to Southern Africa. These screens are manufactured to suit new and existing plants.
KSR/S STEP SCREEN
This screen is a mobile and fixed step lamellar screen. During a rotation or cleaning cycle, the solid matter separated on the lamellar screen is transported to the next higher step lamellar. The movable step lamellas work according to the inverse current principle.
A self-cleaning effect across the entire screen surface is achieved without the need for external cleaning, such as rinsing, scraping or brushing. The power transmission to the mobile disk stack is reliable and durable because the driving chains remain tight with the fully automatic chain adjuster.
